Back to the Island

Back to the Island 3

Synopsis

A ferry goes through the sea and approaches the island of Carloforte. Dr. Pietro Sereni (Gianni Morandi) has been waiting for this moment for a long time: Elena (Chiara Baschetti), Caterina (Alma Noce) and little Giacomo, 6 months old, return from America, where Caterina underwent an experimental intervention that could let her see again.

But when they arrive at the port, only Nabil (Hassani Shapi), Tobia (Alessio Di Domenicantonio) and Diego (Erasmo Genzini) are there to welcome them: Pietro is in the hospital, he is looking after a girl of a few days old who has saved that morning from a boat on fire. Helping him is Margherita (Arianna Montefiori), 23, a neonatal nurse who will soon discover that she is involved in the crime story. In fact her sister Chiara (Anna Godina), 17, is missing and could be the mother of the abandoned child. The investigations into what happened to Chiara and how the child ended up on that boat are once again destined to upset the balance of life of our characters and Carloforte.

And so Elena finds herself working side by side with Valerio Ruggeri (Francesco Arca), the new Deputy Quaestor of Carloforte, who took over from Alessandro: but his arrival in Carloforte could hide a secret. Caterina, on the other hand, will meet a new windsurfing teacher, former champion Leonardo Manca (Raniero Monaco di Lapio), just when Diego seems more distant than ever…

Also this year Pietro will take to heart the stories of the boys involved in the case: new characters, new adventures, new secrets await him. But there is one thing that never changes: Carloforte and its cliffs, the breathtaking views that Pietro and the faithful Mirto travel every morning…
