SEASON 1
SYNOPSIS
Sister Angela is an extraordinary nun who adds a detective’s skill and keen sense to her religious calling. She’s left a turbulent past behind her, even serving a prison sentence where she found faith and received her call.
Marco Ferrari was the youngest, most brilliant detective in Italy. That is, until a professional mistake cost him his budding career.
This strange couple finds themselves side by side conducting criminal investigations in Modena, a beautiful city in the provinces where history, stories and secrets abound.
To assist them are three charming girls that live in the boarding house at Sister Angela’s convent:
Giulia – a computer genius who has a nine-year old daughter, Cecilia. Exactly nine years ago Giulia had a brief, but intense, relationship with Marco Ferrari…
Margherita – a student of anatomical pathology who shows a marked predisposition for the examination of cadavers.
Azzurra – an irresistible fashion victim who is able to gather precious information due to her charm.
Convent Mysteries is a detective comedy with a streak of mystery that also conveys emotion, love and joy.

SEASON 2
SYNOPSIS
New encounters are in store for Sister Angela. The convent has now become an extended family, its doors always open to whoever needs their help. Sister Angela doesn’t perform miracles, but she is always there to lend an ear and listen.
Among the new guests to the convent is Guido Corsi, a lawyer who abandoned his career after committing a serious judicial error. Now even his personal life is in a disastrous state after the end of what seemed like the “perfect” marriage.
He agrees to become a tutor for the new University residence at the convent only to boost his career, but Sister Angela has entrusted him with Davide, the child who was partially the cause of his divorce and who has been orphaned. Guido’s ex-wife entrusted the nun with the child right before she died…
To make things even worse for Guido, a hurricane arrives by the name of Azzurra, a girl who is over the top, whimsical, moody, in search of the ideal man… and who needs to support herself by working as Davide’s nanny. Azzurra is mix of untidiness, ignorance and obstinacy all rolled into one. Guido, instead, is rational, strict and moralistic… thanks to Davide, Guido and Azzurra may just discover they have more in common than they thought.
Among our new guests there is also the young attorney Nina who is also a cynic and a perfectionist. As a child, she witnessed the ruin of her family at the hands of an unscrupulous businessman. Nina has come to believe the only person she can count on is herself and, even though she’ll never admit it (because that would be the same as admitting she is still suffering), she decided to become a lawyer in order to immediately deliver justice.
Then there’s Chiara, the dean of the university’s daughter. She is working as an intern in the same law office as Nina, who thinks Chiara is only there on connections and tries to find any excuse to make things difficult for her. The truth is, Chiara is bright and determined. During one of the cases she is working on, she makes contact with a story full of pain and hope. It marks the beginning of a journey that leads her to desire something other than the future she had imagined with her boyfriend Riccardo. Sister Angela will be the one to help her make a difficult choice, a choice that may change her life forever.
Margherita is still at the convent, now working at a hospital directly with the sick. This is where she first meets Dr. Limbiati, a fascinating doctor who we discover holds a secret, and then Emilio, the athlete she is taking care of…
The central theme of every episode is a problem linked to one of these guests. The partnership between Guido’s rationality and Sister Angela’s intuition will prove precious in helping the others disentangle themselves from the complicated challenge of growing up and becoming adults.

SEASON 4
SYNOPSIS
Azzurra’s day has finally arrived, the day she will finally marry Guido, the man of her dreams. Her oldest and best of friends are by her side: Margherita with Carlo, Rosa -now free from the ghosts that haunted her- and ready to embark upon a new life, and Nina with Gregorio.
Sister Angela is there to watch, but her mission is anything but finished! In fact, she has new fish to fry! There’s Valentina, 23 years old, beautiful, tattooed and angry. She makes her way into the Divine Corner coffee shop with a guitar swung over her back and wearing a leather jacket and skin tight shorts.
The place immediately seems like the fairy tales no one ever read to her.
Valentina is straight-forward, direct and isn’t afraid of saying exactly what is on her mind, even if it means appearing mean. She’s undeceiving, but hides her profound sensitivity behind a stony mask of detachment. Her relationships with others, especially men, are based on mutual trade and interests. Nothing is free, everything comes at a price. Valentina is an “escort by choice”. With her hard rock attitude, she even resembles Sister Angela in a way and becomes like a daughter for the nun, who challenges and rejects her, like mothers often do with their daughters.
Then there’s Monica, 26 years old, an excellent student. She just recently got her degree in medicine and landed a residency position at the hospital of Urbino. To avoid living with her mother, she has chosen to live with Sister Angela, her godmother. Monica is the daughter of Valerio, the man Sister Angela was in love with, the man with whom she committed the robbery that marked the beginning of her new life. Thus, one could say Monica is her daughter in a way.
Monica is the exact opposite of Sister Angela. She’s precise and reserved, with so much self-control that when she lets herself go, it’s even worse. After a week in the Maldives, she found herself married to Luca, a man that she had just met. Then when they were about to return to Italy, he was suddenly declared lost at sea. If that weren’t enough, Luca has a seven year old boy named Edo who Monica must now take care of and who has moved to the convent with her.
Edo’s mother died when he was very young and he was raised by various nannies and babysitters. Luca loved him very much, but was often away on business and spoiled his child like most absent fathers do. In other words, Edo is intolerable, or at least he does everything in his power to be considered just that.
In the convent, Monica runs into Nico, 28 years old, Guido’s best man and first assistant at the university. Now that Guido has accepted a prestigious teaching post in London, he has leant his office at the convent to Nico, a charming lawyer who loves women so much, he has a new one every night. He wasn’t so easy on Monica herself in the past when he seduced her over a bet and then immediately left her. This is one open wound that isn’t likely to heal…
Like Azzurra’s wound, but now she has a radiant future ahead of her. Now that her wedding is over, she only needs to finish her internship in Fabriano and take her exam so she can join Davide and Guido in London. An important person from Azzurra’s past that suddenly shows up at the convent, however, wasn’t part of her plans.
It’s Emma, who is almost fifteen, wears her hair in a piggy tail and looks at the world through wide open eyes. Emma is a girl from the children’s home Azzurra works at. She will be staying at the convent until the home is fit to be lived in again. Emma is a like a young adult. Not that she’s boring, she actually has a brilliant mind. It’s just that she often uses such brilliance against Azzurra. In fact, she does not get along with her. The girl is much too earnest and studious. It may just be Azzurra’s impression, but she feels like the teenager looks down on her.
Emma was abandoned at birth, left in front of a hospital. Despite the difficulties of being raised in a children’s home and the diabetes she was diagnosed with at birth, Emma has clung to life with all her strength. She has one big dream, to become a professional ballerina and dance at San Carlo, and no one can take this dream away from her…
Among the new characters in the series, there’s Gabriele Mattei, 30 years old, eyes as dark as the night and broad shoulders. He’s serious, kind and charming, the man all women would like to have by their side. Gabriele is a prominent heart surgeon who completed his residency in America. He is a child prodigy in the field of medicine who worked his way up all on his own and learned first-hand the meaning of commitment, sacrifice and liberation.
He was born from a secret affair between a young bank clerk and her boss and young Gabriele was never recognized by the married man who should have been his father.
In the convent, Nico is jealous of Gabriele, who seems to threaten Nico’s masculine dominance. Nico has no intention of sharing attention with this newcomer… which becomes a problem when the handsome doctor becomes the point of contention between two young women we know.

SEASON 6
SYNOPSIS
A new year, a new city. For the sixth season of Che Dio ci aiuti! the Convento degli Angeli packs its bags and moves to Assisi, the town where Sister Angela grew up, where she found her vocation and where her father, Primo, with whom she has not had a relationship for years, still lives.
This year Sister Angela will have to undertake an even more difficult mission because it concerns herself and her past. She will have to come to terms with a secret, a hidden, but still open wound in her soul. But she will certainly be in good company….
The convent is still headed by Sister Costanza, who should be retiring to make room for the new Mother Superior, who may be closer than she thinks… but she invents a new excuse every time to put it off. Like looking for a new barista for the Angolo Divino and hiring Carolina, a mysterious, very cynical young woman who will give her a hard time.
Then there is Azzurra, who has cast aside her Chanel to wear a crucifix around her neck. Azzurra is a novice who has embraced the vocation, but her trials are by no means over yet. Because Penelope, a little girl who lost both her parents in an accident and has not spoken since, soon arrives at the convent. A little girl with a precious heart, especially for Azzurra…
There is Nico and Ginevra, who are about to get married. Their love has been sweet and constant, a balm for them both. But Ginevra is inexperienced: she has an immature heart and a great fear of not being able to measure up to Nico… She nonetheless pretends to be unworried, especially before Monica Giulietti, Nico’s ex! Yes, this year Monica will also be back… in a new version. Because when you lose everything, you may collapse and have to start again from scratch. And Monica has lost everything. She will try to start afresh by following her newfound maternal instinct and thanks to the friendship of her first great love, Nico.
But we return to Ginevra with her jealousy and need to prove herself. A need that she will try to satisfy through her relationship with Erasmo.
And finally we come to him, the young man who will cause an upheaval in the life of Sister Angela, among others. He is twenty-eight years old and has several tattoos and the gentle, cheeky face of someone who thinks he has nothing to lose, because he never had anything. He is semi-delinquent, impulsive and quarrelsome, but deep down he has a good heart. The heart of a child who has suffered. A heart that Sister Angela does not yet know is close to hers. Very close. Perhaps… too close.
And so, once again, she can only turn her eyes to Heaven and say… God help us!
